you really don't have to if you have a siphoner, all you do is take a bucket suck out the old water and fill it with new water and put your lid on and your all set! The fish won't jump out during water changes....if they do its not that likely since theres a giant outside of the tank.

but what if it does, how do you get him back in the tank with out hurting it, I hate taking fish out of water even form the fish store. this lady at wal mart droped this fish 2 times before she got it in the tank!! I told her that that was mean, she said not really it is still alive I replyed what If I dunked you in the middle of the ocean and held you there untill right befor e you suffocated!!

Well, your hands will get wet and that will help but I doubt it would but I would moisten my hands and pick it up, and let it rest, I Know its not the greatest way but Its what works, either way its slime coat will get a bit rubbed off, a plastic sandwich bag may work too.

well, I'm not going to leave it there to go get a sandwich bag , I'd probably freak out and my dad would come in and put it back in the tank, hes done that before, each danio has jumped out of the tank at least once
