Ok here is the problem. We have a 100L tank cycling and my hubby wants to make it a tropical tank so first off he wanted silver sharks but we both agreed to not get them (cause of their size) so now he really wants electric yellows but i want things like guppys, neon tetras, panda corys ect. So we are trying to work out what fish would go nicely with the electric yellows, any advise would be good but if we cant find a solution then i just may get my guppys and things while he can just have his bristlenose pleco LOL thanks

Killies, small size catfish, and even some rainbow fish will work.

Yes, I've heard of BN being kept with African cichlids

Electric yellows are renowned for being able to mix with a variety of cichlids. This makes them easier to keep . They will not show aggression to other fish but they can also hold their own when the need arises. However give a yellow male a single female and he will hassle her constantly, try 1male/3 females Plenty of nooks and crannies are required they are territorial and will require breeding spots. feed to 3-4 times per day in small amounts this will also keep aggression down and will minimise bloat, but remember Cichlids are always hungry even when they are full, be careful not to overfeed.

once in a while feed some vegetable matter, mines ate the boiled peas, it helps keep bloat away
