Breeding Information: Hard, after spawning around 200 eggs are laid. The eggs float on water surface. Hatching occurs in less than two days. The fry are hard to feed requiring small live foods that float past them because they won't eat anything that doesn't float near and in their eye sight.
General Information: Pantodon Buchholzi likes floating plants and driftwood and rocks that reach the waters surface. It requires high quality water and doesn't like to much current at the water surface. Do not keep with small fish as it will eat them. This fish can jump and can glide up to six feet so keep the aquarium covered!
