I have a 20 gallon, with 6 zebra danios, 4 neon green moonfish (platies) and 4 red serpae tetras, 2 ghost shrimp, and a mystery snail. I also have a 10 gallon, with an African clawed frog and a mystery snail. I use to have a betta in the 10 gallon with the frog, with a divider of course, but the betta is 6 years old and is failing, so I moved him to his own 2.5 gallon so he can "fail" in peace. I have been advised that I should euthenize (sp?) him, but I dont have the heart for it.

Beautiful sounding tanks. aww thats so sadd, i have a 3 year old betta. I have 6 bettas, and Cody is my oldest. Never euthanize unless he is suffering. But i would advise letting him die in peace, i dont have the heart for it either. Plus, theres always a chance during euthanasia that you will cause more discomfort to the fish.

Don't Put him down. Let him stay as is, just feed him anything he likes and let it go in peace, thats what I do. I feed it whatever It used to like to eat and just keep at it and it will go, 6 years is great, its lived beyond its expetancy and you should be happy he survived that long

She may come over yet. I am sure she is fed up just as we all were.
I enjoy the fact that here my daughter can read the things people have typed, without fear that it is innappropriate!
