ottos absolutly need live plants for healthy growth and living. You should just get 6 cories, a nice big school. With ottos your going way over the stocking. Ive never had success with ottos (i tried 3x, but they died the first night each time after a long acclimation period)

well, I'll maybe get 3 cories and 3 otos, I have 3 in my other ten gallon and they are doing fine there, I may get a few more of each but I'm still unsure of what else I should get, any ideas?

Okay, so I think I'll drop the cory cats to 2 for now and get like 4-6 blood fin tetras and the 3 otos, oh yeah, I found a blotch of soft green algae growing in the tank, and I'm kinda happy that I found some food for the otos

3 of the aponogentons have sprouted, one is pretty big now, so Step one is nearing its end (plants are sprouting) step to is already underway, (algae growth) I have a big blotch of soft green algae growing on the right side of the tank and the left side has small speks of it on it, now After the algae starts to take up more room I'm gonna let my dad see it and he's gonna be like "hey, lets get one of those fish that suck on glass" (otos) LOL

P.S. don't tell anyone but i have over 100 guppies in a 20 gallon tub along with a few ottos and 5 cories and they do very well and that is WAY over the stocking limit but i can't helpt the breed like snails lmao but i think 1 otto and 2 coriues would be fine

Okay, got any ideas for a fish that is a middle or top dweller like my platies? cause its kinda bare in there, I can't get harlequin rasboras because my LFS says they like getting the young ones but the younger ones have a High mortality rate and they don't have bloodfin tetras and haven't gotten any in a while, and neon tetras and cardinals are fragile so that makes me paranoid (LOL)
